Qualifications

The Centre for Railway Engineering is seeking a high calibre railway engineering professional or research academic to play a major role in building research capacity and capabilities of the Centre. The incumbent will bring to the position considerable expertise in Railway Engineering along with the ability to build business contacts, negotiate and develop new research activities, and deliver research outcomes satisfying client research needs. Applicants will need post graduate qualifications in a relevant field of railway engineering that fits within the existing strengths and strategic directions of the Centre in one or more of the following discipline areas: maintenance engineering, vehicle system dynamics, contact mechanics, rail technologies, non-linear dynamics, computational methods and structural dynamics.

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant in the salary range of A$82 995 to A$109 564 per annum with the corresponding package values (including superannuation) in the range A$106 233 to A$140 241.
